Do I need to do anything once I’m on a plan?

What’s the difference between the Starter and Essentials plans?
Starter covers the basics: security, backups, and email support — enough to keep a simple site safe and stable. Essentials adds a staging site, monthly plugin update checks, speed optimization, and 10 dev hours per month for small changes and fixes. If your site generates leads or revenue, Essentials is the minimum we’d recommend.
What are dev hours and what can I use them for?
Dev hours are time Andrew can spend making changes to your site — content updates, layout tweaks, adding pages, fixing bugs, improving load time, or anything else that needs hands on the code. They don’t roll over, but they also don’t disappear if unused in a quiet month. Most clients use them for small ongoing improvements that keep the site sharp.
Can I cancel my plan at any time?
Yes. Plans are month-to-month and there’s no long-term contract. If you want to cancel, let Andrew know and it’s done. We’ll make sure your site is in good standing before we hand it off so you’re not left with a mess.

Do you work on sites you didn’t build?
Yes, with a brief audit first. Before we take on maintenance for a site we didn’t build, we do a quick review to understand how it’s set up and flag anything that needs to be addressed. Most sites qualify — we just need to know what we’re working with before we commit to keeping it running.
How is this different from just doing updates myself?
Updates that aren’t tested before they’re pushed can break things — and they frequently do. We run updates on a staging environment, verify nothing broke, then push to live.
