The Good Fellas Agency Hack ChatGPT With Super Prompts

ChatGPT is all the rage and with access to GPT 4 that passes AI tests and is more human, you need to harness this new AI technology now or your competition is going to blow by you. With that being said, we decided to take a deep dive and see if you keep working in one conversation thread with ChatGPT how much can you really train it to get better results.

I am not sugarcoating this: I WAS SHOCKED. IT LEARNS FAST AND YOU CAN TRAIN IT.

Once you understand how to harness this power, zero in on your niche, and it will make you exponentially more efficient. Ok, let's get to what you want… What is this Super Prompt and did it work?

The Goal: Create 6 months of social media carousel posts in one day.

THE PROMPT:

I want you to be a digital marketing expert. I want to create 50 carousel Instagram posts using the top search queries about digital marketing with 5 slides about each question. I need this to include subtopics for each of the 5 items pertaining to the search queries. I also need a 1 sentence example of each subtopic that is explained to me like I am a 5th grader. Please put this in table form with the question, subtopics, and subtopic examples all in a row.

The Results:

It kicked out 30 rows of real Google search queries and subtopics before I had to prompt it to finish the table. In the end, it took me 10 minutes to get 50 5-slide carousels in. That is significantly faster production than I could have ever individually produced. See how we turned this data into carousels and scheduled them out until January 2024 here.

We learned there are 3 components to a super prompt– Who ChatGPT needs to be, What task it is performing, and what output form you need. We tested this in multiple ways and it delivers great results consistently. I am going to break them down below so you apply this pattern to any business in any nice and get better results faster.

1- Who does ChatGPT need to be?

In my specific example, I told ChatGPT to be my digital marketing expert. Considering I was asking for carousels specific that that industry I wanted to train the AI model to think specifically that way.

Instructing ChatGPT with niche-oriented commands absolutely enhances the output quality to fit your needs. For example, you could tell ChatGPT “I want you to be a marketing agent that is in their 20s that uses current lingo”. It would take that prompt direction and train the AI model to use more trendy and edgy language that resonates with a younger crowd. This component always needs to be first when creating a Super Prompt.

2- What does ChatGPT need to do?

I instructed ChatGPT “to create 50 carousel Instagram posts using the top search queries about digital marketing with 5 slides about each question. I need this to include subtopics for each of the 5 items pertaining to the search queries. I also need a 1 sentence example of each subtopic that is explained to me like I am a 5th grader.”

There are two significant commands I did here:.

  1. I gave specific instructions about exactly what I needed and where to find it.
  2. I gave it the instruction to explain it to me like a 5th grader.

Since I gave it specific instructions on what I needed I now controlled and manipulated its output better. I just took my AI model that thinks like a digital marketer and gave it a laser focus on acquiring data and I told it how I wanted the specific information presented.

Why did I choose to have it explained to me like a 5th grader? Great question! I learned that from Jasper.ai, and I use it because it takes out the technical jargon and explains it in a format so anyone who has never been in this niche before can easily understand it. This is totally optional, but I like this command because it really does make your output data much more digestible and easier to connect with.

3- What format should the output be?

For my example, I used “Please put this in table form with the question, subtopics, and subtopic examples all in a row.” The importance here is that I gave it a preformatted output for all the data. I got specific in the second half of the sentence to make sure that it outputs everything in one row. You can tell it in almost any format you need that you would get in a standard word processor.

CONCLUSION

The main goal of a Super Prompt is to train and define the AI model’s thinking pattern. Each step of this prompt refines the results until you get it exactly the right way. We didn’t just get this right off the bat, we used some other resources like Prompt Genie or PromptPal to get an idea of how it worked and then we tweaked things to get meet our specific goal. And yes, we did complete our goal and we repeated the process so we made 100 carousel posts and scheduled them! Follow us at @goodfelalstech to see the results.

BONUS: For anyone using this to make carousel images as I did, Canva lets you upload a CSV file to create items in bulk. Copy from your output table and paste it into Google Sheets (excel) and you have the source file you need for bulk creation in Canva. We completed the whole process here to save you time.
